24 Hour Surveillance/ One-Room School House
35mm and 120mm Film Photographs
2019-2020
I photograph time and touch and human connection, without humans. I take cinematic portraits of people and new locations using lots of color and high contrast. Working with film is a must for me. The colors, materiality, grain, and dust, add so much to the photos I create.
My images are a mix from my 2019 series “24 Hour Surveillance”and my 2020 series “One-Room School House.” I photographed the lost and found around urban neighborhoods, then translated my photographic practice to my hometown. Documenting the differences in culture, landscape, and daily routine.
